We often receive a lot of questions about the campaign, and we would like to spend some time answering some of the more commone ones.

Why did you guys choose to run?
We saw that quite often the general student population has very little say in what actually happens at our school. We saw this as a major problem, and when we looked at the process for running for Student Association President/Vice President we found that the process favored those who had connections with a few people in SA over normal students who just want to be involved.

When is the election?
The election takes place on MySlice from April 13-16. Any student enrolled at Syracuse University is eligible to vote any time during this period.

How do I vote for Abell-Dawson?
It's actually quite easy. On the days of the election there will be link available on MySlice. Clicking on this link will open up a new page that will have the Student Association ballot on it. Under the category to vote for President, there will be two options, one of them is a candidate who is not AJ, the other is a blank space where people can write-in a candidate. To vote for Abell for President, simply write "AJ Abell" in the blank space, and submit the ballot.

Why are you running as Write-In candidates?
As we mentioned earlier, when we looked into running we ran into several road blocks. Chief among them was an issue with getting on the ballot. The process and deadline for getting on the ballot was not well announced and many people who were not in SA already did not know about it. We chose not to let this discourage us and thus here we are, very real candidates, hoping to help make the Student Associate more accessable and understood by all students.

How can I get involved?
We appreciate the support of all students who wish to help with our campaign. The biggest way you can help us is by liking our facebook page and sharing crucial information we will be posting on how to vote. It is really important that we reach as many people as possible so that everyone knows that they can write in Abell-Dawson as the cadidate that will represent their interests!
