What Matters to You, Matters to Us

Transparency

Our aim is to increase transparency for both the Student Association and the University administration. We want all students to be able to see and understand what SA can do for them. We also want to make sure that the administration better informs students about all the changes they are making at our university.

Safety

Our goal is to address all the safety issues that students have ranging from sexual assault to hazing. We firmly believe in the "yes means yes" policy in regards to sexual assault, and we plan on reaching out to organizations such as Vera House to increase awareness of sexual assaults on campus. We also hope to work with DPS and SPD to decrease all types of violence on and off campus.

In addition to working with DPS to decrease violence on campus, we also hope to create a dialogue between DPS and the student body to create an atmosphere of trust and respect. If we can bridge the gap between DPS and the student body, not only can we decrease violence on campus, but we can also create a campus environment where students can freely communicate with DPS to help solve issues they may have in a manner that helps both the student(s) and the campus as a whole.

DPS

Student Life

With the recent rise of high profile issues on college campuses across the country, we hope to create a dialogue between Syracuse University, the Student Association, and the Syracuse students to ensure that the experience offered here at Syracuse is not only one of the best in the country, but coincide with the high standards that our university holds itself to. We hope to promote all aspects of student life at Syracuse University. Whether it is greek life, athletics, clubs, students organizations, or advocacy groups, we want everyone to be involved with the university. We want to work with all parties to ensure that there is always respect and involvement here at Syracuse.
